The 405 TS Microplate Washer is the gold standard in microplate washing.

It features the patented Verify™ technology, which runs an automated QC check for manifold tube blockage, and visually reports any failed wells. The patented Ultrasonic Advantage™ can then be used to automatically and thoroughly clean the aspirate and dispense manifold. The 405 TS is the first self-checking, self-maintaining microplate washer available!

Cell-based assays and microsphere-based assays are easily run with the 405 TS’s unique set of available features and modules for gentle washing vacuum filtration and biomagnetic separation.

Features of the BioTek 405 TS Washer

  • Self-maintaining design with an ultrasonic bath prevents clogging and failure in the plate washer. The built-in, proprietary Ultrasonic Advantage allows the instrument to clean build up in the manifold tube automatically, without manual intervention.
  • Hands-off, self-testing Verify technology eliminates tedious manual procedures using an ultrasonic probe to check dispense and aspirate performance. Test results are automatically displayed and indicate when tubes may require additional cleaning.
  • Automated magnetic and filtration bead-based assays provide flexible operation in many applications. Variable wash steps and magnet accessories for biomagnetic separation workflows ensure high bead recovery. Vacuum filtration module is also available.
  • Cell-friendly design for high-quality results with angled dispense tubes, highly adjustable dispense, and aspiration rate settings for cell-based assays. The gentle flow rates and side-wall dispensing position ensure the integrity of cell monolayers.

Manifold tube clogs are the most common source of failure on plate washers. The built-in, patented Ultrasonic Advantage allows the instrument to clean build up in the manifold tube automatically, without removing it from the instrument.

Multiplexed bead-based assays are very common, and 405 TS easily accommodates necessary wash steps. Magnet accessories for biomagnetic separation workflows, available in both flat and 4-zone ring designs, ensure high bead recovery. A vacuum filtration module is available for polystyrene bead assays.

The 405 TS has extensive onboard software, accessed through the convenient touchscreen interface. Program all aspects of the system’s wash and maintenance parameters, quickly and easily and store them onboard for routine use. LHC LHC Software allows computer-based programming of multi-step processes and it is used for integrating BioTek’s multi-mode washer dispensers, washers and dispensers into robotic systems. You can operate the system under computer control via LHC, or create protocols in LHC and download to the instrument for recall and execution. LHC Secure software LHC Secure software offers features to facilitate compliance to FDA directive 21 CFR Part 11 with computer control of BioTek’s Multi-Mode Washer Dispensers, Washers and Dispensers. LHC SiLA LHC SiLA software driver enables BioTek washer and dispenser integration into SiLA compliant automated systems. Includes LHC software for computer control and third party integration of BioTek’s Multi-Mode Washer Dispensers, Washers and Dispensers.
