Hybrid Multimode Reader

The Agilent BioTek Synergy Neo2 multimode microplate reader features patented Hybrid Technology, with independent optical paths that ensure excellent performance in all detection modes. Variable bandwidth quad monochromators, sensitive high transmission filter-based optics, laser TRF, and up to 4 PMTs provide ultrafast measurements.

This HTS multimode reader features advanced environmental controls, including CO2/O2 control, incubation to 70 °C, and variable shaking support live cell assays. The compatible BioStack delivers walk-away automation, high throughput, barcode-labeled filter cubes to streamline workflows and limit errors. Powerful Gen5 software provides complete reader control and powerful data analysis.

For assays that require ratiometric measurements, such as fluorescence polarization, FRET and TR-FRET, a dual PMT system provides blazing fast throughput. Two emission signals are captured simultaneously, effectively doubling the measurement speed.

In addition to the standard Xenon lamp in Synergy Neo2, a dedicated laser-based optical systems provide increased sensitivity and fast measurements for TRF and Alpha assays helping to generate larger assay windows and better assay z-primes.

Micro-volume quantification is fast and easy with the Take3™ and Take3 Trio Micro-Volume plates, used in your BioTek microplate reader. BioTek offers unique automation solutions that integrate with our microplate washers, dispensers, readers and imagers. BioStack is a compact stacker that offers fast plate exchange options for 50 plates or more, and patented plate de-lidding and re-lidding with BioStack 4 .
BioSpa 8 Automated Incubator links BioTek readers or imagers together with washers and dispensers for full workflow automation of up to 8 microplates. Temperature, CO2/O2 and humidity levels are controlled and monitored through the BioSpa software to maintain an ideal environment for cell cultures during all experimental stages.
BioTek’s fastest, highest performing multi-mode microplate reader. With kinetic reading speeds as fast as 6 seconds, Synergy Neo2 is a workhorse in the HTS lab. Integrating the compact BioStack enables rapid, automated multiple plate processing for increased efficiency and throughput.

Scientific quad monochromators with continuously variable bandwidth from 3 nm to 50 nm Synergy Neo2 has quadruple scientific monochromators, with the fluorescence module offering variable bandwidths from 3 nm to 50 nm, selectable in 1 nm increments. Variable bandwidths allow you to optimize detection conditions for fluorophores that have unique excitation or emission parameters, for example, a narrow Stokes shift, to provide better performance than conventional monochromators.

Live cell assay optimized: CO2/O2 control, incubation to 65 °C and direct bottom illumination Temperature control to 65 °C, plus linear and orbital shaking and an available gas controller module optimize the environment in Synergy Neo2 for live cell assays. The dedicted filter-based bottom optical path directly illuminates the plate bottom, increasing the sensitivity of live cell measurements, while a dual reagent injector provides quick inject/image capability for observing fast reactions.

Multiple PMTs including dual top PMTs for ultra-fast ratiometric assays Up to 4 PMTs are available in the highly configurable, modular Synergy Neo2, for ultra-fast measurements in all detection modes. Two top PMTs meet the requirements for ultrafast ratiometric assays.

Gen6 Data Analysis Software; Gen5 Secure for 21 CFR Part 11 compliance Gen6 Microplate Reader and Imager Software doesn’t compromise on usability or data analysis performance – protocol creation is intuitive and flexible, and the data analysis capability rivals standalone packages. For the GxP lab, Gen5 Secure software offers features to help comply with 21 CFR Part 11, including electronic signature, data security and multiple level permissions.
