Many software packages claim to be user-friendly, but Gen5's thoughtful design accommodates users at all levels for a wide range of applications, from basic endpoint ELISA quantification to in-depth analysis of high-magnification images. Using Gen5 can be as simple as clicking the "Read Now" button to start. When the data is returned, you can process, analyze, transform, crunch or otherwise manipulate it using Gen5’s data analysis tools. Basic or complex data is displayed in a clean, colorful way to facilitate data interpretation.

Gen5 includes powerful tools such as 4-P and 5-P curve fits with or without weighting, parallel-line analysis, advanced kinetic analysis, automated pathlength correction, multi-level data transformation, QC features like cut-off and validation criteria definition and calculation... and so much more. Used with Cytation 3 for cell imaging, Gen5 Image+ offers image analysis features typically only seen in dedicated imaging systems. Web-based Sample Files
A comprehensive searchable library of sample files with data is available, so there’s no need to spend time creating protocols for common (and not so common) applications! New files are added on a regular basis and Gen5 users can upload files to share their experiments and sample data with other Gen5 users.
Liquid Handling Control™ (LHC™) Software is a powerful yet flexible interface for use with BioTek's 405™ Touch Washer, 405™ LS Washer, ELx405™ Select Deep Well Washer, EL406™ Washer Dispenser, and MultiFlo™ FX Dispenser. Full PC control provided by LHC Software leads to increased convenience when programming important assay-specific protocol requirements in a familiar Windows® environment. Any programming sequence possible onboard the washer or dispenser may be duplicated from the computer with LHC. With intuitive StepWise™ protocol creation, even novice users will find LHC Software easy to use.
21 CFR Part 11 compliance
To meet the demands of the GxP laboratory, LHC™ Secure offers features to ensure compliance to the U.S. FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 directive. Flexible multi-user permission levels and electronic protocol and system audit trail signing are all available whenever additional security is required.

Expanded versatility, Automatic protocol validation
LHC Software allows an unlimited number of methods to be linked together for the most complex liquid handling routines. From an instrument’s first prime routine, multiple microplate processes over time, an ultrasonic cleaning to dissolve protein or salt crystal build-up to a final system rinse, LHC Software enables unattended operation. Protocols are automatically validated to ensure feasibility and compatibility with the selected instrument.
Dual mode control
Dispense protocols can be created and run from the PC or downloaded to the instrument’s keypad. This is particularly useful when the liquid handler is installed in a biological safety cabinet. Protocols can be locked to avoid unintentional keypad modifications.
Custom maintenance reminders
To facilitate maintenance and keep a washer or dispenser in peak condition, factory recommended maintenance procedure reminders can be preset and customized appropriate for a busy laboratory’s usage and throughput requirements.
Safe record keeping
Protocol parameters may be printed for safe record keeping. Alternatively, onboard instrument protocols are able to be uploaded and backed up on a laboratory’s network. Satellite research labs working on joint projects can be certain their wash parameters are identical for experimental integrity.
For batch processing applications, LHC Software supports BioStack™ Microplate Stacker integrations. Robotic integration of BioTek washers or dispensers to commercially available robotic systems is also seamless with Liquid Handling Control.
